The Kiwanis Club of Wilmington raises funds throughout the year to support the numerous projects serving the children of our community.
- Kiwanis Pancake Day is the first Saturday in November at J.T. Hoggard High School from 6:30 am to 12:00 pm. All-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage with juice, milk or coffee. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any of our members or at the door. This year will be our 48th annual event.
- A Landscape Plant and Rummage Sale is conducted each March at the Brigade Boys and Girls Club. Beautiful landscape plants and shrubs are available for sale along with all kinds of rummage sale items (toys, books, household goods, tools, sporting equipment, furniture, etc.) This event is indoors and held rain or shine.
- Working at the Concessions at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater. Kiwanians volunteer to sell refreshments at concerts and performances for the City of Wilmington. The club receives a percentage of sales and the tips from generous patrons.
- Donations to the Wilmington Kiwanis Foundation, Inc. 501 are solicited from club members and the general public. The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization and public charity described in the U.S. IRS Code section 170 (b) (1) (A).
